Alec Coakley is a certified mediator with interests in all aspects of conflict management, peace-building and alternate dispute resolution.
In 2013 Alec founded HR Evolution Ltd, a company that simply helps individuals, companies, institutions and community organisations with difficult conversations. He has a particular research interest in workplace conflict, specifically bullying and ostracisation. He has provided change management support, including strategic mission and vision building to Irish industry, education and charity sectors.
With considerable experience in industrial relations and a formal education in negotiation theory, Alec also provides structured negotiation skills training. Using techniques first put forward by world-class mediators and negotiators such as William Ury, Kenneth Cloke, Max Bazerman, James Sebenius, Roy Lewicki and Senator George Mitchell to name but a few, he has formulated a condensate of ideas and theories that will empower those who seek sustained negotiation success.
